Feingold headlines Democratic HQ

July 14, 2008 By WRN Contributor

U.S. Senator Russ Feingold headlined the kick off for the Fond du Lac County Democratic Party headquarters opening. About 130 people attended the Sunday affair in Fond du Lac.

Feingold told party faithful that it's going to be a historic year with Senator Barack Obama running for President. Feingold called this election, “the most unbelievable year” ever seen and the potential is “unlimited.”

Feingold said although he's not running this year, he enjoys campaigning for others in the party.

“It's more fun to campaigning for others than tooting your own horn.”

He also told the gathering that he's expecting gains in the U.S. Senate, Congress, State Senate and Assembly this year. Senator Feingold was also quick to remind the crowd that he's running again in 2010 and he'll want their support then.

The Senator also attended a Democratic Party gathering in Sunday Oshkosh.
