Gassman unveils new jobs website

September 15, 2008 By WRN Contributor

A new state website linking all DWD Job Centers is now in operation. Secretary of the Department of Workforce Development, Roberta Gassman made the announcement in Janesville Monday. The new site, says Gassman, "is going to improve dranatically the technology the state has been using, to connect workers looking for jobs to jobs, and to help employers who are looking for workers."

Speaking from the UAW Local 95 hall in Janesville, Gassman says the site will assist any state resident, including displaced workers at the GM plant in Janesville, to find another job. The web site allows individuals to search for work, find job fairs, create and print out a professional looking resume, or e-mail it to a prospective employer.
