The attacks are heating up in the race for Wisconsin's 69th Assembly District.

On live TV Wednesday on "WEAU 13 News Today" in Eau Claire, Democratic challenger Tim Swiggum of Owen accused Republican Scott Suder's campaign of spreading false rumors that falling asleep on the job got Swiggum fired this year. Then he brought up the current case involving Suder's ex-girlfriend , who is accused of breaking into his house and forging checks from his accounts.

Suder shot back that any rumors weren't coming from his campaign. He also said the media may be doing "too good" in covering the multiple felony counts that have been filed against Lisa Brabazon.

This is Swiggum's second attempt to unseat Suder.
