Buy a car, get one free

December 24, 2008 By WRN Contributor

Auto sales were down more than 35 percent last month, compared to the same time in 2007. So, one Wisconsin dealership is trying to spur more sales by offering a two for the price of one deal.

Mike Darrow, owner of the Russ Darrow chain of auto dealerships, says anyone who buys a new car from December 26th through January 5th will get a used car, worth up to $10,000, for free. He says he needs to do something to get sales up during what has been a lackluster December.

Darrow says his dealerships have a lot of inventory, and he hopes the promotion can get some of them off the lot.

Darrow dealerships sell Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Cadillac, GMC, Mitsubishi and Suzuki.  It has locations in Appleton, Oshkosh, West Bend, Madison, Milwaukee and Waukesha.
