Emergency landing

February 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

A military pilot made an emergency landing in Madison late Sunday. Airport officials said the National Guard F-15 was enforcing a no-fly zone in the Chicago region for President Obama, when a fire indicator light went on. Defense officials said other aircraft maintained the flight-restrictive zone, so there was no gap in coverage. The Air Force said it’s not sure if there was actually a fire on the craft that landed at the Dane County Regional Airport. They’re still investigating.
