New charge for Point shooting suspect

February 16, 2009 By WRN Contributor

One of the suspects in a Stevens Point murder for hire is facing a new charge.
Prosecutors have charged Carlos Cummings with aiding a felon as a habitual criminal for driving the alleged shooter, Linda Dietze, to and from the crime scene in November.

In a morning court appearance, Cummings asked a judge unsuccessfully to lower his cash bond from 50-thousand to 20-thousand dollars.

Prosecutors say Dietze shot James Glodowski so his wife Carla could continue an affair with Cummings.

Attorneys for Cummings and Carla Glodowski will meet with prosecutors in another pre-trial conference in early April.

Dietze is due back in court for a competency hearing in early March to see if she's fit to assist in her own defense.
