Republican budget criticism continues

June 19, 2009 By WRN Contributor

Republicans will continue to vote "no" on the state budget, no matter what changes are made to the plan.

That's according to Senator Alan Lasee (R-De Pere), who says GOP lawmakers have big problems with the package. He says the budget is filled with endless tax increases, ranging from taxes on capital gains to garbage.

All Republicans in both the Senate and Assembly have voted against the budget, and Lasee predicts that won't change when a compromise emerges from a legislative conference committee.
