Jennings selected to compete in rookie challenge

Milwaukee Bucks rookie point guard Brandon Jennings was selected to play in the 2010 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam.  The Rookie Challenge takes place Friday, February 12 at 8:00 p.m. (CT) in Dallas as part of the 2010 NBA All-Star weekend.

Jennings is one of nine rookies selected by assistant coaches throughout the league to participate in the Rookie Challenge.

Jennings has twice been honored as the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month and he currently leads the Bucks with 17.7 points per game and 6.3 assists per game.  He leads all rookies in assists and ranks second amongst first-year players in scoring. 

Joining Jennings on the Rookie team are Sacramento guard Tyreke Evans, Sacramento forward Omar Casspi, Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson, Detroit Pistons forward Jonas Jerebko, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jonny Flynn, Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden and San Antonio forward/center DeJuan Blair.

The Rookie team will take on a group of nine NBA sophomores.
