Brewers make roster moves

March 25, 2010 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Brewers made a series of roster moves as opening day draws closer.

The Brewers today returned left handed pitcher Chris Capuano to minor league camp, which means 34 players remain in Major League camp.

Left handed pitcher Scott Schoeneweis has been released by the club.

Third  baseman Mat Gamel and right handed pitcher David Riske have both been placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Outfielder Jim Edmonds has been added to the Brewers Major League roster from their triple (A) club in Nashville.  With the addition of Edmonds, the Brewers’ 40-man roster now stands at 39.

The Brewers are facing the L.A. Dodgers in Cactus League action today.
