Skiles named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month

March 2, 2010 By Bill Scott

SCOTT SKILES The NBA has named Milwaukee Bucks head coach Scott Skiles the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for February.

Skiles led the Bucks to a 10-4 record in the month, including a six-game winning streak from February 19-27, making Milwaukee the only team in the Eastern Conference to record 10 wins in February.  It was Milwaukee’s first month with double-figure wins since going 11-6 in December of 2006.

This is the third monthly honor for Skiles, who also won the award in April 2006 and January 2005 while with the Chicago Bulls.  It is the first time a Bucks coach has been honored since George Karl won the award in January of 2003.
