Brewers drop series opener in San Diego

April 30, 2010 By Bill Scott

The San Diego Padres tied a team record with 7-straight singles during a 5-run fifth inning, including pitcher Wade LeBlanc’s career-high third hit of the night.  The Padres went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-0 last night.

The National League West leaders won their 7th straight home games for the 11th time in the last 13 games overall.

San Diego’s 13 hits were all singles.  Doug Davis took the loss, falling to 0-3.  Dave Bush pitches game 2 of the series for the Brewers tonight.
