Wisconsin’s Watt named to Lott Trophy Watch List

JJ WattWisconsin Badger junior defensive end J.J. Watt has been named to the 2010 Lott Trophy Watch List.  Watt is one of 42 candidates for the award which is given to the defensive player that best exhibits the same characteristics that Lott embodied during his playing career: integrity, maturity, performance, academics, community and tenacity.

In his first season on the field with the Badgers last season, Watt was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by the media and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection.  Watt finished second on the team with 15.5 tackles for loss, five pass breakup sand two fumble recoveries.  Watt also finished third on the squad with 4.5 sacks.
