Giants Sweep Brewers (AUDIO)

July 9, 2010 By Bill Scott

The San Francisco Giants completed the four game sweep of the Brewers with a 9-3 win over Milwaukee on Thursday afternoon.

The Giants jumped on Manny Parra early and opened up a 6-0 lead and Milwaukee could never get into the game.  The Brewers had plenty of chances but couldn’t get the clutch hit on Thursday or during the series going just 3×42 with runners in scoring position during the four game stretch.

Milwaukee will try and bounce back tonight as they open up a three game series with Pittsburgh at Miller Park.  Doug Davis returns from the DL to get the start.  The Pirates will counter with Paul Maholm.

They will throw the first pitch at 7:10pm tonight at Miller Park.

Audio: Ken Macha says they couldn’t score. :18
