Quad/Graphics to add 1,300 jobs

Quad/Graphics Inc. will restart operations in Wisconsin which will result in as many as 1,300 new jobs over the next 11 years. The Sussex-based printer is looking to fill 420 full-time and part-time jobs immediately according to a press release from Governor Doyle’s office.

The positions range from production to managerial and administrative.

As part of the agreement to add the jobs, the state will provide $46 million in Enterprise Zone tax credits. The company is reviving equipment that was shut down in 2009 due to the recession.

Since learning of the state’s offer, Quad/Graphics has already created more than 250 new jobs in Wisconsin in a few months according to the release. In all the company employs more than 6,700 people statewide.
