Bogut places 6th in Defensive MVP race

April 19, 2011 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut battled through injuries this season, playing in 65 of the teams games.  But Bogut still managed to lead the NBA in blocked shots, which landed him some attention in the balloting for the league’s Defensive MVP Award.

Bogut wound up 6th in the voting.  Orlando center Dwight Howard won the honor by a landslide.  It’s Howard’s third straight Defensive Player of the Year honor.
