St. Point’s Bloom is WIAC Coach of the Year

May 18, 2011 By Bill Scott

UW-Stevens Point baseball coach Pat Bloom has been named the WIAC’s Coach of the Year for the second time.  Bloom last captured the honor back in 2005.

In his 8th season in charge at Stevens Point, the Pointers went 32-8, capturing their ninth WIAC regular-season championship in program history.  The Pointers also won the WIAC tournament crown for the sixth time in the last seven years.

UW-Oshkosh’s Luke Westphal and UW-Stevens Point’s Cody Koback were chosen the Pitcher of the Year and Position Player of the Year.
