Tressel Out At OSU

Jim Tressel resigned as Ohio State’s head football coach on Monday amid allegations he failed to report NCAA violation regarding players trading championship memorabilia and autographs for tattoos that led several key player to be suspended for the first five games on the 2011 season.  Tressel was then dealt a five game suspension for not reporting the infractions a timely manner.  He was set to go before the NCAA in August.  Assistant coach Luke Fickell will coach the Buckeyes as an interim head coach this upcoming season.  In 10 seasons in Columbus, Tressel went 106-22.  He won the 2002 National Championship
