Brewers Win Again

June 6, 2011 By Bill Scott

The Brewers picked up a 6-5 win over the Florida Marlins in 11 innings on Sunday afternoon in Miami.  After blowing a 5-0 lead when Brett Hayes hit a 6th inning grand slam off of Marco Estrada, osh Wilson’s solo shot in the 11th won it for the Crew.   Tim Dillard was the winner and John Axford notched his 16th save of the season.  The series wraps up tonight as Zack Greinke takes on Javier Vazquez.  Milwaukee has also moved a half game ahead of Arizona for the top spot in the National League Wild Card Race. The Major League Baseball Amateur Draft begins today.  The Brewers have the 12th and the 15th pick in the first round.
