Brown to play at Pittsburgh

June 27, 2011 By Bill Scott

Former Wisconsin running back Zach Brown will join the Pittsburgh Panthers for his final season of college football eligibility.

Zach Brown

Brown left the Badgers after red-shirting last season because he was 4th on the depth chart at tailback.

Brown rushed for 568 yards as a freshman for the Badgers in 2007 and finished his 3-years in Madison with a total of 1,152 yards.  But he saw the hand writing on the wall with Montee Ball and James White expected to get most of the carries this coming season.

Because Brown played three seasons and expects to graduate in the fall, the fifth-year senior will be eligible to play at Pittsburgh immediately.
