Look for road delays on way to EAA

July 27, 2011 By Bob Hague

Drivers heading to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh this weekend had better plan on some slow going. Sergeant Tim McGrath with the Wisconsin State Patrol says U.S. Highway 41 in Winnebago County is undergoing major reconstruction work in the Oshkosh area. “The majority of attendees at EAA AirVenture will be on Highway 41,” said McGrath. “We’re asking for a lot of patience from them and a lot of concentration, because there’s a lot going on the highway right now.” The interchange between Highway 41 and Highway 45 is also being reconstructed. McGrath says motorists will need to slow down and “be ready for anything.” AirVenture runs through Sunday at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.
