McCarthy gave the players an extra day, allowing for players that are traveling to the east or west coast extra travel time.  The players are due back in town on Sunday and must report for work at 6:30am Monday.

Wide receiver Jordy Nelson said the lockout really helped them rebound from the long 2010 season and they’re looking to get away again, with the expectation that they’ll be playing meaningful football games well into January.

Nelson figured a small percentage of players would be around, like his friend James Jones.  Jones and his wife just had a baby are are likely locked into staying in Wisconsin for the week.

The Packers won’t play again until a week from this Sunday, at San Diego against the Chargers.
