Schools lose teachers in motorcycle crash

October 11, 2011 By WRN Contributor

Two schools in Southeast Wisconsin have grief counselors available after teachers from each were killed in the same traffic crash in western Kenosha County. David Novaez, 48, was a German teacher at Westosha Central High School in Kenosha County, while his 36-year old wife, Kristin, taught singing at Union Grove High School in Racine County.

The two were on a motorcycle that was hit by an SUV which had pulled from a stop sign. With no alcohol or drugs playing a role in the crash, only citations could be issued to the driver. Ralph Johnson, 20, received two citations each listing Failure to Yield the Right of Way Resulting in Death.

A Union Grove High School student posted on Facebook, “two more angels arrived in heaven.”
