WIAA playoff field is finally set

October 19, 2011 By Bill Scott

Milwaukee Messmer/Shorewood took the WIAA to court and won.  The Greyhounds will play their first ever playoff game since the two schools co-oped their football program.

The court said Messmer/Shorewood met a WIAA criterion for playoff eligibility and ordered the states high school sports governing body to include the team in its field of playoff eligible schools.

That ruling, finally allowed the Division 1 and 2 field to be finalized and released late Tuesday afternoon.
