Wisconsin’s Ball is Doak Walker semifinalist

Wisconsin junior running back Montee Ball is one of 10 semifinalists for the

Montee Ball

2011 Doak Walker Award, which is awarded annually to the nation’s top running back.

In 9 games this season, Ball has rushed for 1,076 yards and scored 21 touchdowns.  Ball averages 6.64 yards per carry and 119.56 yards per game.

The other 9 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award are:  Henry Josey (Missouri), Rex Burkhead (Nebraska), Ronnie Hillman (San Diego), LaMichael James (Oregon), Zach Line (SMU), Chris Polk (Washington), Joseph Randle (Oklahoma St.), Trent Richardson (Alabama) and David Wilson (Virginia Tech).
