Murder Suspect Bound Over For Trial

January 9, 2012 By WRN Contributor

An accident or was a shooting death on Winnebago Drive in Fond du Lac last November intentional; that will likely be up to a jury to decide in a Fond du Lac County murder case. The preliminary hearing for 35-year-old Jason Anderson was Friday.

Fond du Lac Detective Steve Kaufman is the lead detective in the case. He testified that Anderson knew his wife Nicole was dead when the 45 caliber handgun he had went off and didn’t stick around to find out.

Later District Attorney Dan Kaminsky asked a longtime friend of Anderson’s Michael Harmsen about telling police that while they were together one time Anderson pointed a 45 caliber handgun at Nicole Anderson and threatened to shoot her. Harmsen said he made the story up because the police detective he was talking to wouldn’t leave his home.

A high school friend of Anderson’s also testified during the hearing that she had sex with Jason Anderson last summer even though she knew he was married.
