The WIAA Girls State Basketball Tournament wrapped up Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison. Of the 5-Division Champions, 3-Schools won their first Gold Ball.
In Division 3, Kewaunee (24-4) won their first State Title with a 50-41 win over Oostburg (23-5). Neilsville (28-0) wrapped up an unbeaten season with a 52-42 win over Oshkosh Lourdes (26-2) in Division 4. It was Neilsville’s first title. Heritage Christian (24-4) won their first gold with a 79-51 victory over Owen-Withee (25-4) in Division 5.
In Division 1, De Pere (24-4) locked up their 3rd State Crown with a 60-57 victory over Milwaukee King (21-7). The Division 2 State Championship featured a pair of unbeaten teams and the last two State Championships in the Division. New London (28-0), the defending champs, bested 2010 winners New Berlin Eisenhower (27-1) 43-39.
