DWD says jobs numbers confirmed

May 31, 2012 By Bob Hague

Jobs numbers made public by the Walker administration earlier this month have now been confirmed by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. John Dipko is with the state Department of Workforce Development. “The Bureau of Labor Statistics has declared final sign off on the actual jobs data that we submitted to them earlier this month,” he said. “With that approval, we will proceed with posting the information on our website, and that should occur tomorrow.”

Dipko said the numbers show an increase of 23,608 jobs in 2011. That’s slightly higher than the number of jobs that had been claimed earlier by Governor Scott Walker.
