Brewers Let One Slip Away

June 14, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Brewers let another one slip away.  The Royals rallied to beat the Brewers 4-3 in 11 innings last night. Alcides Escobar’s two run triple in the 9th off of John Axford tied the game at 3. Then in the 11th Jose Veras walked Mike Moustakas with the bases loaded plating the winning run. The bullpen blowup spoiled a solid outing from Randy Wolf gave up six hits and one run in six innings worth of work but settles for the no decision. The series wraps up tonight.  Shaun Marcum gets the start for Milwaukee. Brewers skipper Ron Roenicke has been named to the National League coaching staff at next month’s All-Star Game in Kansas City.
