Panthers taking their home games back to campus

June 27, 2012 By Bill Scott

The UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball team is moving back to campus.

The school’s new athletic director Andy Geiger said the men’s team would play its home games at the Kotsche Center beginning with the 2012-13 season.  The school plans improvements to the Klotsche Center, which will seat around 3,400.

The Panthers have played most of their games at the U.S. Cellular Arena in downtown Milwaukee for the past 9 seasons.

Geiger said, “College games belong on college campuses.”
