Ilyasova to remain a Buck

July 9, 2012 By Bill Scott

The Milwaukee Bucks have said all along that they would like Ersan Ilyasova to return to Milwaukee this season.  The team issued a statement on Sunday saying “We are engaged in free agent negotiations with Ersan Ilyasova.  We intend to enter into a player contract with Ersan once the moratorium period has ended.”

The  6’10 Ilyasova agreed to a 5-year, $45 million deal after averaging 13 points and 8.8-rebounds in 60 games for the Bucks last season.  Free agents can’t officially sign new deals until Wednesday.
