November 19, 2012 By WRN Contributor

The body of a 24-year-old Manitowoc man was found late Sunday morning in Lake Michigan, near the city’s car ferry dock.

Manitowoc Police Captain Larry Zimney says the body was discovered after an officer spotted a strange-looking object floating in the harbor. As the fire department was preparing to send a boat out, Zimney says the Coast Guard went out to investigate and confirmed it was a body.
