Wausau drug suspects in court

Five people are in custody following a Wausau drug bust are due in court Monday afternoon. Officers from several enforcement agencies executed search warrants Thursday at two Wausau addresses after a month-long investigation. They seized heroin and crack cocaine with a street value between $3,000 and $5,000 dollars.

Will E. Conners and Keion F. Jives, both of Milwaukee, were two of the suspects arrested. Larry W. King, Victoria Espinoza, and Bernard N. Welch of Wausau were also apprehended. Conners and Welch now face drug trafficking charges. The others are being held for probation violations.

Marathon County’s SWAT team and the Special Investigations Unit worked with agents from Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations and Federal Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms during the arrests.
