December 22, 2012 By admin

The Milwaukee Bucks took down the Boston Celtics 99-94 in overtime Friday night.

The Celtics led by three at the half and increased it to 8 at the end of three-quarters.  But the Bucks rallied and with  just under 60 seconds left, they led by six.

The Celtics cut the Bucks’ lead down to three with 15 seconds to go, then they forced a Bucks  turnover.  Paul Pierce tied the game with 2.5 seconds to go with an open three pointer.

In overtime it was all Bucks.  Milwaukee outscored Boston 11-6 and this time, didn’t allow the Celtics to rally.

Monta Ellis scored 27 to lead Milwaukee, one of four Bucks who scored in double-digits.  Luc Richard Mbah a Moute had 20 points, Larry Sanders had 17 points en route to a double-double, and Brandon Jennings had 12 points.

Bucks forward Larry Sanders also pulled down 20 rebounds in the win.

Paul Pierce had 35 points and 12 rebounds to lead Boston.

With Milwaukee’s win, the Bucks trail Chicago by 1-game in the Eastern Conference Central Division.  they’ll host Cleveland at the Bradley Center tonight.
