Workforce proposals get public input

December 4, 2012 By Brian Moon

A business coalition wants the public’s feedback on its recommendations for Wisconsin’s workforce sustainability. Among the recommendations is addressing the skills gap by creating a better alignment between talent development and job opportunities, says Linda Salchenberger, who co-chaired the Competitive Wisconsin Be Bold 2 study.

Salchenberger is optimistic their recommendations will see its way into policy. Previous successful proposals by the coalition include revamping the state’s commerce department into a public-private partnership.

The group is holding an event in Eau Claire Wednesday after last month’s summit kick-off in Waukesha. Walk-in registrations are welcome.
