Green Bay drops Horizon League opener

The Green Bay Phoenix (6-8, 0-1 HL) struggled early on offensively and couldn’t recover, falling to Wright State (10-4, 1-0 HL) 64-53 at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.

The Phoenix hit just 7 of 24 in the first half and finished the game shooting just 36% from the field.  They hit just 4 of 15 (26.7%) from three-point range.

Senior Brennan Cougill returned to the Green Bay lineup and scored 17 points in 19 minutes off the Phoenix bench.  Cougill added six rebounds and two assists in the loss.
