Longwell signs with Seahawks

January 10, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Seattle Seahawks signed former Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell.

The Seahawks placed kicker Steven Hauschka on injured reserve after he suffered a calf strain in last week’s win over the Washington Redskins.

Longwell hasn’t played in the NFL this season, last making 22 of 28 attempts for the Vikings in the 2011 campaign.
