Hockey Badgers look to bounce back (AUDIO)

February 8, 2013 By Bill Scott

Last weekend did not go the way Wisconsin Men’s Hockey Coach Mike Eaves would have liked it to.  The #19 Badgers went on the road to North Dakota and only managed one point falling back further in a tight WCHA race.

Wisconsin entered last weekend tied for 4th in the League at 21-points and were just 4-points out of 1st.  After the weekend, they dropped to 6th in the conference and are 7-points behind leader St. Cloud State.  After skating to 1-1 tie with the Fighting Sioux Friday, the Badgers dropped a 4-1 decision Saturday.  Coach Mike Eaves on the way it ended:

Bemidji State is in Madison for the weekend starting with a 7:00 face-off Friday night at the Kohl Center.  The Beavers have struggled this season notching just 12-points in conference play.  Saturday’s faceoff is also 7:00.

The #8 Badger Women travel to St. Cloud State for games Friday and Saturday afternoons. Each day’s faceoff is scheduled for 2 PM.  Wisconsin enters the weekend in a 3rd place tie with Ohio State and Minnesota-Duluth.
