Packers add another WR

May 23, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Alex Gillett on Wednesday.

Gillett played quarterback at Eastern Michigan but moved to wide receiver late last season.  Gillett started three games as a wide receiver, catching 14 passes for 132 yards and a touchdown.

Gillett finished his career with 4,448 passing yards for 35 touchdowns and 34 interceptions at quarterback.

The Packers now have 11 wide receivers on their roster.  Seven of the 11 wideouts are either rookies or second-year players.
