Weltman stays with Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks assistant GM Jeff Weltman was a finalist for the Phoenix Suns vacant general manager position, along with San Antonio Assistant GM Scott Layden and Boston’s Ryan McDonough.

The Suns on Tuesday, picked the 33-year old McDonough, who has worked the past three seasons under Celtics president Danny Ainge.

Weltman was also a finalist for the Suns position three years ago.  He’s been working under Bucks General Manager John Hammond since 2008.
