Suspect held in Plover homicide

August 14, 2013 By WRN Contributor

The man accused of killing his Plover neighbor after sexually assaulting her is being held in jail. Jose Luis Flores Aca, 32 was ordered held on a one million dollar cash bond Tuesday in Portage County Circuit Court. He’s accused of the rape and murder of his 36-year-old neighbor Jamie Koch at the apartment building they both lived at in Plover.  Koch’s body was discovered in a partially burned vehicle in Waupaca County.

Portage County District Attorney Louis Molepske Jr. said he anticipates charges of sexual assault, homicide, and hiding and mutilating a corpse, but until the investigation is complete, it’s too soon to say exactly what the charges will be.

If convicted, Flores could be imprisoned in Wisconsin, or deported. Molepske said he is a Mexican national in the U.S. legally. Formal charges may be filed next week. An initial appearance date has been set for September 3rd.
