Determined to identify Jane Doe, killer

October 17, 2013 By WRN Contributor

The Racine County Sheriff’s Department is hoping new technology over the last 14 years will help solve the murder of a young woman simply known as Jane Doe.

The unidentified individual was found July 21st 1999 in a corn field, and suffered from severe abuse before her death. Sheriff Christopher Schmaling says he’s determined to identify her and find whoever was responsible.

Jane Doe’s body was exhumed for review at the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office, under direction of the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children, National Missing and Unidentified Persons system, and the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit.
