Wurtz leads Badgers past Drake in women’s hoops

Senior Taylor Wurtz scored her 1,000th career point and the Wisconsin women’s basketball team rolled to a 66-41 win over Drake at the Kohl Center on Sunday.

1,000 came when Wurtz hit a three-pointer with 8:41 left in the first half.  She finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Forward Michala Johnson had 16 points and 16 rebounds in her Badger debut.
