Wisconsin heading to the Bahamas in 2014

December 4, 2013 By Bill Scott

The Wisconsin men’s basketball team will spend Thanksgiving in 2014 in the Bahamas.  They’re one of eight teams playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

The 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis field will be the strongest in history.  The Badgers will be joined by North Carolina, UCLA, Georgetown, Florida, Butler, Oklahoma and UAB.

Each team is guaranteed three games over the three-day event.  It marks the Badgers’ eighth tropical-location tournament in the last 10 years.  Wisconsin has made recent appearances in the Cancun Challenge (2013), the Las Vegas Invitational (2012), the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. (2011), the Maui Invitational (2009), the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands (2008), the South Padre (Texas) Invitational (2006) and the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands (2005).

Villanova won the 2013 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.
