Green Bay women stop 4-game slide

January 2, 2014 By Bill Scott

The Green Bay Phoenix women snapped a 4-game losing streak, knocking off the University of Maine 72-49 at the Kress Events Center on Wednesday afternoon.  It’s the first win for the Phoenix (7-5) since they beat the same team at the Maine Thanksgiving Classic in November.

Green Bay junior guard Megan Lukan finished with a career-high 13 assists and no turnovers in 35 minutes.  She added 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting.

Green Bay opens women’s Horizon League play next week against Illinois-Chicago.
