Duerr arrives in Beloit as the Buccaneers’ 28th head football coach in the program’s 123-year history after two seasons as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio.

Prior to Tiffin, Duerr spent seven seasons as the defensive coordinator at the College of Wooster, his alma mater.  He also was the defensive line coach at Ohio Northern University for one season and was a two-year graduate assistant at Averett University, coaching the running backs.

Duerr played linebacker at Wooster from 1997-2000.  He was a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy, given annually to NCAA Division III’s Outstanding Football Player of the Year.  He was twice named First Team All-American, twice named the conference Defensive Player of the Year and became just the fourth player in conference history to earn First Team honors four straight seasons.

Duerr was inducted into the Wooster Hall of Fame in 2011.
