Madison police arrest six in home invasion

Madison Police say six people have been arrested as officers investigate a violent home invasion that took place last month. Police say the suspects were targeting a home, but went to the wrong address and victimized an innocent couple. The crime happened at a Quincy Avenue home around 4:00 in the morning on February 23rd.

The armed suspects forced their way into the home and battered both victims. Police say several of the suspects sexually assaulted the female resident, who was six months pregnant. The suspects took several items from the home. They were inside for about 40-50 minutes. After they left, the victims tried to contact neighbors to call police, but they ended up having to walk to a local business to call 911. Several items were taken from the home, most of which have been recovered.

The following people have been arrested in the case:

Efemia A Neumaier, age 21, Madison Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery

DeAndre L Mayweathers, age 23, Madison Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery

Demarco D. Mallit, age 22, Madison Aiding a Felon, Theft

Kristopher J. Hughes, age 20, Madison Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery (PTAC), 1st Degree Sexual Assault – 6 counts (PTAC), Substantial Battery while Armed

Michon A. Thomas, age 22, Madison Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery (PTAC), 1st Degree Sexual Assault – 6 counts (PTAC)

Eric D. Bass, age 23, Madison Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Armed Robbery (PTAC) 1st Degree Sexual Assault – 6 counts (PTAC)
