Truck explosion kills one

April 4, 2014 By WRN Contributor

A truck explosion in Howard Thursday afternoon has left one man dead and a second critically injured.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department says the truck was from Ace Manufacturing. The vehicle’s compressed natural gas fuel system exploded when it was punctured by a load that shifted, causing the truck and its trailer to explode.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was thrown from the truck, and was taken to a hospital.
