Mount Pleasant Police say a woman had her five-month-old dog stolen at knifepoint over the weekend, while she was walking the puppy near an open space near the village’s border with Racine.

Police say two black men got out of a small red car and demanded money, while flashing a knife. The woman told them she didn’t have any, so they took her German shepherd puppy instead.

An investigation is ongoing.
