A cold day for the Badger women

January 2, 2015 By Bill Scott

MotionW_2ColorThe Wisconsin Badgers, who won their women’s Big Ten opener against Michigan, struggled in their first conference road tilt, falling to Northwestern 68-46 at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston on Thursday.

The Badgers (5-7, 1-1 Big Ten) shot just 25.9% from the field (15 of 58) and just 17.4% in the first half.

The Badgers also committed 17 of their 24 turnovers in the first half as Northwestern took a 30-11 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Senior Jacki Gulczynski was the only Badger to score in double figures, finishing with a game-high 16 points.
