As he continues to explore a potential presidential run, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is adding key staff members to his team in New Hampshire – a crucial early primary state in 2016.

A spokesman with Walker’s political group, Our American Revival, says Andy Leach has been hired as a senior adviser to the New Hampshire operation. Leach is a former New Hampshire GOP executive director.

The group also brought on former Michigan GOP political director Michael Bir to lead day to day operations in New Hampshire. Bir also did work with the RNC in Ohio during the 2010 and 2012 election cycles.

Also, a week after he refused to answer questions on foreign policy during an appearance in London, Walker has brought on advisers on the subject. Politico reports that Walker has brought in Mike Gallagher to advise him on international hotspots — and Kristin Jackson to work on domestic policy.
Gallagher is a staffer with the US Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee. Jackson has served as an aide to former Florida Congressman Connie Mack. She most recently worked for a Washington communications and public relations firm.
